After ten years as an interior designer, O'Brien catapulted into the jewelry design spotlight. In 2006, Bergdorf Goodman, followed by Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, the Bellagio and others showcased her inaugural jewelry collection, that was inspired by Eastern, Western, vintage, and contemporary designs. Her collection became an instant success, and her pieces were seen on high-profile women around the world. Magazines, including Town & Country, Marie Claire, Harper's Bazaar, Elle and the Robb Report all profiled O'Brien and her distinctive style.
